Biography
Hans-Peter Frank was born 1937 in Dresden. He graduated
from the "Carl Maria von Weber" College of Music (Hochschule
für Musik "Carl Maria von Weber" formerly known as Dresden
Conservatory or Dresden Royal) as pianist, violist, and
conductor. During his studying was a special prizewinner of
Schumann competition, performed as a soloist with K. Mazur.
Was an assistant-conductor of K.Mazur and O.Suitner. He has
worked with the Berlin Symphony Orchestra, was from 1980 the
principal and artistic conductor of the Helsingborg Symphony
Orchestra until 1990. Hans-Peter Frank as well as the present
honorary conductor George Alexander Albrecht, has headed the
Staatskapelle of Weimar from 1996 to 2002. He has also served
as a deputy artistic director of K. Zanderling‘s orchestra.
Lately, he has combined his activity at Staatskapelle of
Weimar with Berlin Symphony Orchestra and Bolshoi Theatre.
